Ryanair, the budget airline announced yesterday it is to build a second maintenance hangar at Prestwick Airport, creating up to 200 new jobs. The £8m investment, supported by £1.5m from the Scottish government, will see both facilities service Ryanair’s fleet of more than 200 aircraft. This is a welcome boost for the Scottish economy, particularly for the airline industry following the recent collapse of Flyglobespan.
This news again shows definite signs that Scotland is coming out of recession, and a look at recruitment websites confirm that Scottish business are recruiting again.
